Caution
Viewing Images with your Macintosh
By using the provided USB cable (I-USB7) or card reader and
image-browser software, you can transfer images recorded with
the camera to your Macintosh and edit them or print them out.
This section explains how to view images on your Macintosh
using the provided software (S-SW8).
About the included software
The included CD-ROM (S-SW8) contains the following software:
USB driver
Image viewing software (ACDSee)
System environment
OS: Mac OS 8.6 or later (QuickTime 4.0 or later required)
CPU: Power PC 266MHz or higher
Memory: 8MB or more
Hard disk space: 6MB or more
Standard equipped USB port
When you connect the camera to your Macintosh, you
are recommended to use the AC adapter D-AC8. If the
battery power runs out while image data is being trans-
ferred, the data may be lost.
Installing the software

Turn on your Macintosh.

Insert the CD-ROM (S-SW8)
into your Macs CD-ROM
drive.

Double click the [CD-ROM
(S-SW8)].
The title screen will appear
on your desktop.

Double Click the [Master Installer].

Double-click the [Master Installer] alias icon.
The PENTAX Software Installer screen will appear.

Click your applicable language.
You can choose the lan-
guage from the following:
English, French, German,
Spanish, Italian and
Japanese.
Installing the USB driver (Mac OS 8.6 only)

Click [USB Driver].
The USB driver will be installed.
When installation is completed, reboot your Macintosh.
The USB driver does not need to be installed on Mac OS 9.0
and later versions.
Installing ACDSee
When you install ACDSee, you can edit and manage
image files on your Macintosh.

Click [ACDSee].
The Setup screen will appear. Follow the on-screen guid-
ance and enter the registration information.
When installation is completed, reboot your Macintosh.
